Abstract Used to store, manage, and leverage information, knowledge management systems are becoming increasingly valuable assets within organizations. Organizations must manage internally (through risks) externally reputational risks). We define risks as internal human, technological, organizational factors, the effects of external perils reputation, credibility, financial status, future success. An oversight either risk type can cause significant damage an organization. This literature review was a means analyze, categorize, offer best practices for mitigating system.
